Visitors will be limited to two per non-COVID inpatient. Visitors may switch out as needed as long as the patient only has two visitors. Children are permitted and count toward the two-visitor limit.
Emergency Department
Patients in the Emergency Department will be allowed one visitor throughout their visit, including in the lobby. Visitors are not permitted in the ED for COVID or COVID suspected patients
Two visitors per patient will be permitted in the Pediatric Emergency Department.
Visitation for COVID Positive Patients
COVID inpatients will be allowed one designated visitor during the unit’s scheduled times. Visitors must wear full personal protective equipment (PPE) for the duration of their visit and must remove the PPE properly afterward. Nash UNC personnel will assist with PPE education. (Please keep in mind that children under the age of 12 are not permitted to visit COVID patients who are under isolation precautions for their own safety.)
For all policies, visitor exceptions will be granted at the discretion of the care team for end-of-life situations or extenuating circumstances.
